Did you know that legal aid funding can cover investigative services?
If you have been charged with less serious criminal offences (where the possible sentencing is less than 10 years imprisonment) and you are eligible for legal aid, you are likely to be assigned a lawyer by Legal Aid Services.
This lawyer may be an independent barrister or one of the lawyers in the Public Defence Service.
Your lawyer may be unaware that legal aid funding may be applied to cover investigative services which may be beneficial in your case.
